Protas A. Murunga - Chairman 
B. Sc. (Hons.), M. Sc., R. Eng., MIEK

Eng. Murunga was born in August, 1956. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi, is a Registered Engineer (R. Eng.) and Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (MIEK). Eng. Murunga specializes in construction materials technology and geotechnical Engineering. Eng. Murunga joined the Norken Board of Directors at inception in 2001. He has been Chairman of the Board since March, 2007.

John M. Ndemi - Managing Director 
B. Sc. Civil Engineering (Hons.), R. Cons. Eng., MIEK

Eng. Ndemi holds a Bsc. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi and has over 30 years; practical experience in Project planning, co ordination and management for both design and construction supervision, Design and Construction supervision of roads and infrastructure projects and is a registered Consulting Engineer.

He has held positions of varying responsibility commensurate with experience and professional qualifications. He is currently the managing director of the company, where he also carries out duties of a project manager on some of Norken International Ltd projects and is well versed with the arrangements normally made for procurement of goods, works and related services for such infrastructure services.

He is also a member of various professional bodies including Institution of Engineers of Kenya (MIEK) and Association of Consulting Engineers of Kenya (ACEK) and also a registered Engineer by the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Kenya.

Henry O. Orwa - Director 
B. Sc. (Hons.), R. Eng., MIEK

Eng. Orwa has a Bsc .degree in Civil Engineering with more than 27 years experience in the training of Contractors, Consultants and Client’s technical staff (Engineers, Supervisors of Works, Road Inspectors and Administrative Officers) in the organization and management of Labour-Based/Light Equipment Supported (LB/LES) road rehabilitation / maintenance and building works.  He has a wide work experience in various countries including assignments in Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana and Southern Sudan. 
Eng. Orwa has earlier assignments as Engineer-in-Charge of Training at the Kisii Training Centre Kenya and as Highway Design Engineer with the Ministry of Roads and Public works Kenya. He joined the Norken board of directors in 2008.

Eng. Githugu was born in 1962. He holds a B. Sc. in Civil Engineering from University of Nairobi. He is a registered Engineer (R. Eng) with the Kenya Engineers Registration Board. Eng. Githugu has over 26 years practical experience in Civil Engineering works designs, construction supervision, Project planning and feasibility studies. He also has vast experience working through the ranks from the positions of Assistant Engineer, Highway Engineer, Resident Engineer and Project Engineer. Eng. Githugu joined the Norken Board of Directors in 2010.
